Arlöv refinery (Sweden)
The factory in Arlöv in southern Sweden is one of Nordic Sugar's two sugar refineries which produce specialities. When Arlöv was commissioned in 1869 it was a combined refinery and sugar beet processing plant. But the last beet campaign with its own beet processing took place as long ago as 1958. Nordic Sugar Arlöv has specialised since then in processing raw sugar supplied from the Örtofta factory. A large number of sugar specialities are produced in Arlöv. Most is sold in the retail sector under the DanSukker brand. Liquid sugar is produced in close co-operation with the clients with specifications which satisfy their precise needs. The factory has a workforce of around 167.
