Information for farmers

Sugar beet has been cultivated in Europe for more than 150 years. Over its 180-day growing period, the efficient plant produces sugar from water, sun and carbon dioxide. But the sugar beet plant has changed over this time: just as the sugar factories have become more modern, more efficient and boast higher and higher capacities, there has also been a continuous improvement in the productivity of the sugar beet plants themselves. Strengthening this productivity further in the future together with our partners is one of Nordzucker's objectives. The future of sugar beet is also the future of Nordzucker.

This section contains general information on the cultivation of sugar beet as well as our Group-wide 20 - 20 - 20 initiative. Registered farmers can log in to our Agri-Portal for access to the most important data at a glance - from orders to supplies, to billing.
